C'est Brice Delage (@bricedelage) que je vous propose de découvrir dans cet épisode.
J'ai découvert ce guitariste grâce à Sémi de Muzicosphere qui avait relayé une vidéo de Brice en train de faire des démos de guitares au MusikMesse, cette vidéo m'avait scotché et j'avais donc ajouté Brice sur ma "watch list" des guitaristes.
Ce musicien est vraiment extraordinaire, un touché extraordinaire avec une énergie terrible. Je kiff grave.

I was very happy to interview Simon McBride (aka @smcbridemusic) via Skype as his music kept on showing up when I did some listening in shuffle mode to go through all the music I receive.
And each time it happened I said to myself "I really MUST have this guy in the show!".
That's the method I use: I hit play and if the music I hear interests me I take a note. When it happened several times for the same artist, it really means I am on to something.

Le Bataclan is a nice venue in Paris, not too big (cap. around 1500 people) with a clear view of the scene from all the places (standing or seated).
Solid performance right from the start with a nice build up of the energy toward the end.

Le 31 mai dernier j'ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer Patrick Rondat juste avant le concert anniversaire des 20 ans de la sortie de Just For Fun. À cette occasion j'ai (re)découvert un musicien extraordinaire qui a su tracer un parcours remarquable dans la musique instrumentale.

Grande première sur La Chaîne Guitare puisque cette fois c'est un bassiste que je suis allé rencontrer, et pas n'importe lequel puisqu'il s'agit de Cyril Denis, bassiste de Louis Bertignac pendant 10 ans. Fidèle à mon objectif de parler de guitare au sens large dans La Chaîne Guitare, il me semblait évident d'interviewer un bassiste.
Comme j'avais été vraiment scotché par la performance en power-trio de Bertignac à Vitry, je me suis mis en quète d'aller rencontrer son bassiste, Cyril Denis qui a très gentiment répondu à ma demande.
En attendant la prochaine interview, continuez à bien jouer de la guitare !
